Who We Are

A Community-Owned
Mission of Care

Maramagambo Community Medical Center (MCMC) is a community-owned, private non-for-profit facility founded in 2019 by philanthropist Tumwesigye Moses. Driven by a vision born from witnessing how most of the population were suffering from health concerns — where children and pregnant mothers were dying from easily preventable causes — Moses laid the foundation for what would become a vital community lifeline.

It began as an outreach clinic held in the home compound of a local citizen who volunteered his space as a gathering ground for medical care. However, the community quickly took a great interest and ownership of the project. Today, dedicated individuals from the community contribute to the sustainability of the facility, ensuring its continued growth and service.

From those humble beginnings, MCMC has grown remarkably. The community secured a permanent building where services have upgraded from periodic outreach to daily routine healthcare. MCMC is currently staffed with thirteen dedicated team members, yet its impact on the surrounding community continues to grow far beyond its walls.
