At Maramagambo Community Medical Center (MCMC), our Medical & In-patient Care department is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care for patients who require routine consultations, emergency medical care, or admission to the hospital. We understand that dealing with an illness can be a stressful and challenging experience, and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and healing environment for every patient.

Our general outpatient department (OPD) serves as the first point of contact for many of our patients. Here, our clinicians manage a wide range of conditions, including infectious diseases like malaria and pneumonia, chronic illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes, and minor injuries. We emphasize a thorough diagnostic process, utilizing our on-site laboratory and imaging services to ensure that every patient receives an accurate diagnosis and an effective treatment plan.

Emergency care is a top priority at MCMC. Our emergency team is trained to handle a variety of crises, from acute medical emergencies like heart attacks to severe infections. We have a streamlined triage system that ensures the most critical patients are seen immediately.

We also place a strong emphasis on chronic disease management. As the prevalence of non-communicable diseases like diabetes and hypertension rises in our community, we have developed specialized clinics to provide ongoing care and support for these patients. For patients requiring admission, our inpatient wards provide a comfortable and hygienic environment. We have separate wards for men, women, and children, each staffed by a team of dedicated and professional nurses providing 24/7 monitoring. Our medical team conducts regular rounds in the inpatient wards, reviewing each patient's progress and adjusting their treatment plans as needed. We also provide nutritional, emotional, and spiritual support to facilitate a holistic recovery.
